Do all films reject the same amount of heat?

Tint alone doesn't tell the full story. What to check in the datasheet before you recommend a film.

A darker film is not necessarily cooler. The heat entering the cabin comes mainly from infrared radiation, not from visible light.

Dye and ceramic particles

Deep-dyed films mainly manage light and glare. Ceramic ranges such as QDP Ceramic, IR Extreme and IR Extreme Plus add particles that block infrared radiation.

What to compare

In the datasheets, compare IR rejection and total solar energy rejection, not just the VLT percentage.
